Let it be known that the 209 Squadron RAF has concluded operations in
the sixth season of the Red Baron World League. The Might and Main,
along with many other squadrons, would not be able to participate in the
RBWL without the exceptional efforts of a small but dedicated group of

the Kingdom of Bavaria. The Knight's Cross of the Military Order of
Maximilian-Joseph was bestowed upon Bavarian soldiers for bravery in
combat. A knighthood entitled the recipient to a lifelong pension and
the right to append "Ritter von" to his surname.
