Red Baron 3D Paints

Instructions:
First,
go to the Mechanics Shed and follow the easy step by step instructions
towards the bottom of the page for making your first "multiple install" of
Red Baron. When you get to step #8 in Section I of the Multiple
Install tutorial, follow the link to
come back here.
-
If
you are trying to install paints in your only copy of Red Baron, it is
recommended that you only proceed if you have followed the first 8
steps Section I of the Multiple Install tutorial found towards the
bottom of the Mechanics
Shed.
Download
to your desktop or patch folder (don't install yet) a copy of the Hell's Angels Massive Multi Player (MMP) patch
(you may want to save it in a
folder for Red Baron patches you create for
future uses). WARNING: Be sure you do NOT install the solo version
of Hells Angels also available here on the same website.

Install HA
MMP patch using the HA installer. Make sure you install it to
the correct Red Baron 3D folder. This will usually be
C:\SIERRA\RedBaron3D\, unless you renamed it.
Unzip
and install the following HA MMP
upgrade file. It contains additional
paint schemes. Install into your C:/Sierra/Redbaron3D/data/multi folder.
Be sure you overwrite files.
Now install the scenery patch, install it now, AFTER installing
both the
HA MMP patches above. Depending upon your system settings and
preferences, you will want to download either the direct draw or
glido scenery patch.
NOTE: it is recommended that you use direct draw for the best
frame rates; be sure to get the right one (direct draw or glido) based upon
the selection you made when your installed the First Aid Kit. When in
doubt fly using direct draw.
-
IMPORTANT: In order to see the custom paints you just installed, the first
time you start the game, you'll need to go into game Preferences and
select "Custom" under the Aircraft Textures portion.
Type 41 in the squad

Go
back to the Mechanics Shed and begin at step #4.
Special
thanks to Otto vonStachel for making Hells Angels painstakingly realistic
and to the pilots of Jasta 5 who assisted with the beta testing of the MMP
patch, notably, Klaus Lehmann.
