Jasta 5 Recruiting Tent

2009 - Celebrating 5 Years Online

Ltn. Charles Ludwig vonKrabbenhöft, Recruiting Officer for Jasta 5, 1916-1917.

Answer the Call to the Air!

Jasta 5 has been ordered by the Kaiser to provide reinforcement to the Central Forces efforts on the Western Front.  If you are new to online WWI gaming or are experienced but have never flown with a Jasta in organized events you are encouraged to enlist with Jasta 5. Just fly your crate to Boistrancourt Aerodrome.  There is a hangar waiting for you!

Joining a Jagdstaffel, called a Jasta, can add a whole new dimension to your online WW I gaming experience.  Throughout the year there are several organized online tournaments utilizing various strategies and tactics which you can only participate in as a member of Jasta 5.

Everyone Welcome:

Jasta 5 is truly an international team.  We are neither a North American nor European focused team, since our pilots live around the world.  Pilots have joined us from North America, Western and Eastern Europe and even Africa and Australia, to name a few.  Because of this, when we fly our training missions and campaigns, we fly during times that most convenient for all time zones involved.  The Jasta also has it's own online "radio communications" available for pilots to meet each other in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except when on occasion when allied sappers cut the lines!)

New Volunteer Pilot Candidates:

If you are new to the world of WW I sims, by joining our Jagdstaffel (Jasta), you will meet and fly with other fellow pilots who are interested in assisting you with the technical questions we all have when starting out.  The Jasta will also assist you in learning the nuances of your Fokker DrI, D.VII or Albatros D.III as you develop the flying skills necessary to be victorious in the skies over Europe!  Enlist today!

Experienced Pilots:

If you are an experienced pilot, perhaps you would like to enjoy the thrill of realistic planned bombing runs on enemy factories and bridges or want to fly in a fighter "Kette", intercepting enemy bombers who are attacking our supply depots!  Perhaps you wish to gain recognition and earn the respect and appreciation from others for your skills and contributions.

Privacy Statement:

In order to apply to Jasta 5 and join in the fun, we need to collect basic contact information from you such as your name (it can be historical or real), a valid email address and other information that helps us get to know you.  This information will not be sold or given to anyone for any purpose anytime.

Applicant Statement:

When applying you will be asked if you have read and agree to abide by a Code of Conduct.

NOTE:  The membership of Jasta 5 does not promote racism, historical revisionism or fringe political or philosophical views.  If you hold such views, PLEASE DO NOT enlist with Jasta 5.  We do not share or support your views.  This website, the members it represents and the community of which they are a part, are dedicated to the enhancement and enjoyment of World War I flight simulations.
