** For best hard drive performance, you want to have
excess hard drive capacity and RAM capability. In
other words, you won't be able to play any game if your hard
drive is full, no matter how big your hard drive! One
general rule is the 50/200 rule: try to manage your
gaming computer (yes, you should have a dedicated gaming
computer without pictures from you latest vacation) so that
at least 50% of the hard drive capacity is empty and you
exceed the RAM requirements by at least double. That
way you don't tax your system excessively at the expense of
game performance. Notice also that we've added an
often overlooked specification called Hard Disk Speed.
