We've pre-selected a wide array of gaming gear (and some fun Jasta 5 promotional items) that are specifically intended to assist people new to online gaming and experienced ones alike.
Purchasing online through the Jasta 5 Kanteen is safe and secure. Nobody from Jasta 5 ever has access to your personal credit information. Purchases via the Kanteen help support the Jasta, so feel free to use it for both your online gaming and non-gaming shopping needs.
In the Kanteen you can evaluate and purchase all the latest software, computers, joysticks and necessary equipment to help you get up in the air and stay there. You can also access just about anything else you can think of for sale online there.
There are also WWI related books and videos. Feel free to recommend any other WWI related items that would be useful to your fellow WWI flight sim enthusiasts. Enjoy! _________________ Hans Berr, Staffeführer

S! Raven,
Good to see you stopping by. Thanks for supporting Jasta 5.
Yes those machines are more than enough to run RB3D. More importantly though, you'll want one capable of flying IL2 or Rise of Flight (both available in the Kanteen).
All of the machines listed will be adequate to fly IL2, but not all will have enough juice to fly Rise of flight. Ive spent some time analyzing the system requirements for both IL2 and RoF. You'll notice that the listings for the machines now include what flight sim each machine should be powerful enough to handle. This is all listed in the Jasta 5 Kanteen , as a service to facilitate pilots considering an upgrade.
IL2 is a WWII flight sim will soon have a WWI patch for it. Rise of Flight is the newest WWI sim and takes an enormous amount of horsepower as well - reviews are currently mixed and most WWI simmers don't have the computing horsepower to play it because we've all been flying RB3D, a ten+ year old game! As a result, the IL2 based WWI mod "Canvas Knights" seems to be the where many in the RB community and some Jasta 5 pilots are beginning to migrate towards - at least those who upgraded their machines in the last few years. The IL2 based WWI patch is reportedly due out later this summer/fall. It still requires horspower but not as much as RoF.
Folks buying a new computer now, probably are best served biting the bullet (if their wallet allows them that) and getting something strong enough to power both IL2 and RoF. I suspect that many who upgraded in the past few years are stuck in the IL2 phase. However, as pilots upgrade their machines, many will make the move to Rise of Flight as it's development is refined and expanded.
See the Jasta 5 Kanteen for specs and recommendations for machines capable of flying each sim. _________________ Prosit!

$197.50 + $5.00 shipping = $202.50! This beats the other popular online "discount" suppliers quoted all the time by folks.
Always remember to scroll down the page to find the lowest priced offering. The first features are not always the lowest priced.
