Salute all !
I spent hours patching the game up to the graphic max for XP years ago and it's still working great on my old machine, but now that I have a new upper to date confusor running windows 7 I'd like it to see it spin the old game.
But it won't.
Any advice ? Suggestions ? Links?

When I install the game from the original CD and I want to play, windows 7 says a problem arose and takes me back to desktop. _________________ *I do not master the subtleties of an anglo native speaker. If you can't handle that, try addressing me in my own mothertongue.

Nope, sizing it down to Vista or XP does not do the trick here.
Rumey, how did you manage to get the old game installed on windows 7 ?! _________________ *I do not master the subtleties of an anglo native speaker. If you can't handle that, try addressing me in my own mothertongue.

I managed to get the multiplayerversion working. However no trace of all the eyecandy I get on the old XPmachine. And I feel I have to play it windowed, because the resolution is completely fubar full screen. Still no clue what's holding the singleplay down....
It's back to the Walt Disney multiversion in windows 7.
I think I'll stick to playing it on XP while I still can.

I wish my game looked 1/4 as nice as yours does Voss! Seriously.
It sounds like you may need to readjust your screen resolution to match the in game settings. Also, if you have a downloaded version of the game from a year or so ago and not a disc, it probably does not have the solo version and that is the problem. You might do better just paying the $10 to Gog and downloading the new release and then patching it with the Redux patch... _________________ Prosit!

Thank you, Herr Bäumer. But I do not work with the downloaded version. I have the real Sierra thing here. Come to think of it: I also have the Sold Out version on disc. Might try that one.
About your game, Herr Bäumer: aren't you running it on XP then ? If I can add all the candy, shouldn't you be able to do the same then ?
And if I patch up a version for the redux game, will that work with the original copy ? _________________ *I do not master the subtleties of an anglo native speaker. If you can't handle that, try addressing me in my own mothertongue.

S! Voss,
Throw away the Sold out Software version. It is not any good for your purposes.
Just patch the Sierra disc install version with Redux and you'll be fine.
Then reinstall the Hells Angels and OTE scenery patches from the Paint Shed etc. _________________ Hans Berr, Staffeführer
