S!
I just got a new wireless router in hope to improve my ping rates and even though it is better than the one I had before i still get very bad ping (400-700).Baumer had mentioned that I could run a cord to my router and was wondering what the cord is called and where I hook it up to my computer and router. _________________ Salute!

Ben,
What you want is simply to connect the router directly to your computer the "old school" way before wireless came about using regular patch cable. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_5_cable
You want to connect your computer to the router via the cable and not the wireless connection. You may want to turn off the wireless connection completely unless your family has other computers intending to use that connection. _________________ Hans Berr, Staffeführer

S! yup the LAN ports are where you plug in (JP45 socket to be technical I think) there should also be one on the back of your PC, as to turning off the wireless that wouldn't be a bad idea, allthough RB3d and Ts are not that demanding in bandwith the last thing you want is a family member starting to download a TV show or movie when your in the middle of a match _________________ Official Jasta time keeper (semi retired)

Finally got the problem fixed. As some of you know I have a wireless ISP where they have a tower 20 miles away, and so the other day i decided to look for a new ISP and I found a verizon RevA tower not 5 miles from my house, so I signed up and ping went from around 600 to a stable 120.So it wasnt so much the wireless router as it was my ISP. _________________ Salute!
