The last greentails (POLL on official forums)

Unread post by J5_Rumey » 27 Jan 2013, 00:01

POLL IS UP: http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic ... 97&t=37792

I needed some of these skins for another painting project. Will not post them for vote as I think Fubar or Wolf might be on this and I am sure they will do a better job.But as I needed them I made them, thanks again Bauernopfer for the information. I thought you gents would like to see how they could look, so posting some screens below.

Schmidt's and Mai's dvii's are already ingame but the ones here are a slight remake of them. The new ones are Böhm with letter "B", Leicht with letter "L" and Vollbracht with a yellow lightning on the side of the fuselage. Schmidt's is OAW built. Mai's to though the lozenge on his is not typical, he also does not have a green tail. Böhm's is albatros built. Vollbracht and Lecht are Fokker built. Cowling's, lozenge and wheel covers reflect this.

5040x1050 usually play in this format could use 5760x1080 but i find it almost to wide already with 5040 there is some weird fish-eyeing going on.

If you would like to try them on you can download them here: http://www.mediafire.com/?c2b3galaaa26i3g

Just unzip and copy paste into your Rise of Flight/data/graphics/skins/FokkerD7 folder

Nice Rumey,
I would like to see these in the game for sure. If Fubar don't take them on then I may, but I hate to see your hard work go by the waist side! You do great work as well my friend..

Update: If I get these oked by Fubar, as I have used a lot of his latest work in these and if HQ is ok with it I will post these and try to add them to the historical skins officially. Everything should be just right now, including cowling's for the different types, thanks to Fubar for unlocking that secret. :D Screens are bit low qual as I used my low ingame settings for them but ohh well.

I have gotten the ok from Fubar and seems Hq is ok with it. Thanks for comments gents! I have made some more fixes and will hopefully make a poll on RoF forums later today. I am worried about translations though as it seems Fubar has trouble with his latest poll, no Russian or Spanish translations. What a crap system they have for historical skins quite a barrier. Lets hope we can get translations, if not I will go with google translate and that's it. English should be enough tbh.

Here are some more screen with higher graph settings. Top, side and front view's.

Böhm (alb) Personal marking white letter B in red band green tail with red piping.

Mai (OAW) (some details not standard OAW, possible replacements?) Personal marking white and black stripes on fuselage and elevator. (This is already in the game made by me but an inferior version)

Schmidt (OAW mid?) (Some info on this is unclear but definitely OAW) Personal marking black/white band green tail section. White bands top and bottom wing. (This is already in the game made by me but an inferior version)

Ok the poll is up on official forums vote away!

http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic ... 97&t=37792

There is also a download link if anyone want to have a peek at these skins right now. Not the aplha work on the cowling's by fubar superb stuff. Finally a small but hopefully correct historical jasta 5 D.VII lineup. Add this to our generic D.VII's allready in the game and we would look pretty any day!

A little late to the party here, but those are BEAUTIFUL skins, Rumey (Boman :O) !!!

Also, I am fairly certain that the 'fubar' you mention, is the same artist who did a great deal of work, and the primary U-boat skins for the Grey Wolves Expansion for SH3 (GWX) that I used to manage. (PHEW! Glad we finished that monster.)

If Rumey and Fubar are both working on ROF skins... well... what a visual FEAST!

Maybe someday, I can upgrade my 'puter and hear the wind in the wires again!
