A while back I injured a knee (is OK now) and was not able to work for a bit and I started to build balsa wood planes. It started with rubber band powered models and eventually progressed to electric RC. I have lots of plans and know were to find others for those who are interested. I will post some photos when I figure out how.

I build ww1 ones in 1/9 and lately in 1/8.
ww2 are in 1/12

Cool about you building foamies. I don't have permission to see any attached files for some reason. I enjoy flying RC planes FPV (first person view) with a camera and transmitter going to a headset that tracks my head motion.

A pair of un-painted Spitfires practicing formation flying.
A Spitfire dancing around a B-17 at dusk.
A B-17 above the clouds (the HD camera ran out of memory, so we had to use the ground station recording). Max altitude 4500ft. Airspeed does not indicate correctly.
A B-17 flies 3 miles then loses radio signal. Altitude at time of crash approx. 1300ft.

I also build combat model battleships armed with BB cannons.

I've also tried sailing ships and Tamiya tanks, but not enough people would sail with me and I didn't have time to keep up with the tanks as well as everything else I was working on. I think I prefer to stick with Rise of Flight. Bloody April has been a blast!

I dunno, your Aviatik (or is it a Pheonix?) paint and details are pretty sharp for that scale! All three in fact....are very slick.

Yes, that big microwave sized radiator on the top wing made me go hmmmm, maybe its the Phonix....lol. I would love to see a video of that machine flying. I assume its electric......how does she handle?
