Started colouring in the aircraft. First layer green done. Tomorrow red and if I have time lozenge. Need the aircraft coloured in with a first basic layer before I can continue on the background.

Reds to saturated, will fix that when I go over the aircraft again. Right click and view image looks better when not having to scroll.

Sounds good. J5 first. No deposit needed. You will have to give it a final vanish yourself though or leave it to gallery to do as it needs 12-14 months after final coat of paint to dry enough for that. Nothing hard to do yourself really. Just paint on a coat of vanish with a big brush, this is a good one .

Final varnish
glossy
Glossy, hardly yellowing synthetic-resin varnish for oil paintings, stays especially
elastic due to stand-oil additive. Should be applied only to completely dried colour layers (after 8-12 months at the earliest).
Soluble with oil of turpentine or turpentine substitute.
Contains: cyclohexanone resin, acrylic resin, stand oil, mineral spirit.
Avaiable in following size: 60 ml / jar, 200 ml / jar and 1000 ml / can http://www.schmincke.de/products/medium ... h.html?L=1
But they really need that long to make sure you get a loong lasting painting. Most artist these days ignore this fact.

As long promised, I have finally gotten my picture framed and am posting the final look here.
The frame is a brushed gunmetal color with grey/black accenting to give it a sort of aged/worn look, and the mat is a charcoal black rather than a gloss.

Unfortunately I'm no photography expert and I couldn't get the glare to go away entirely without making the room completely dark.

Also Rumey you need to start naming your paintings. If you'll let me know what the title is on mine, I want to get it engraved and added to the black mat underneath the painting.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Nice Matthias, problem with naming stuff is that I am dry as old parchment when it come to naming. I would call it "Roland CLIIa attacking train". Or "50 kg bomb"

Anyhow haven't had much time to paint of late but today got some time in working on mainly faces and figures. Guess cant see much in the small painting but they are all there. Will posts details when I am further along.

Fist mono to check values.

So far so good.

Sent you an e-mail. I hope we can agree on something.

A question for you gents.

On the big painting was thinking of adding some tent hangers in the background possibly removing the permanent hanger and maybe adding a lorry and more ground crew also in the background, what do you gent's think about that?

On the DvIII's painting I think it would look great with some tents and a few more ground crew. Maybe a truck or car of some type as well.
